Interviews with the Cast

February 17–March 12

YOU'LL DIE LAUGHING… THE CEMETERY CLUB, with shades of The Golden Girls, is an hysterically funny, moving, sweet-tempered romantic comedy. Ida, Lucille, and Doris are three Jewish widows who meet once a month for tea before visiting their husbands’ graves.

A chance cemetery meeting with a local widower leads these three friends to question what it means to honor the past while finding the courage to move ahead into the future.

Playwright Ivan Menchell’s Broadway credits include Bonnie & Clyde (book), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (additional material), and THE CEMETERY CLUB. For the screen, Mr. Menchell wrote an adaptation of his play starring Ellen Burstyn, Diane Ladd, and Olympia Dukakis.

THE CEMETERY CLUB will be directed by Kevin Kirby.

Very touching and humorous. An evening of pure pleasure that will make you glad you went to the theatre.
