2015 Summer Performing Arts Camp

"Tabard Theatre’s Summer Performing Arts Youth Camp is a fun musical theatre adventure for youth of all skill levels! Children are given the opportunity to experience the many facets of musical theatre in a hands on setting. For each session, we provide different workshops in the mornings that focus on a particular aspect of theatre, such as Improv, Dance, and Set Design. In the afternoon we rehearse a short review or mini musical that they will perform at the end of the week. Come and explore your imagination!"

Disney's 101 Dalmatians KIDS

Disney's 101 Dalmatians KIDS*
Dates: June 15–19

Ages: 6–12
Camp: 9am–2pm

Based on the classic animated film, Disney's 101 Dalmatians. KIDS is a fur-raising adventure featuring Cruella De Vil, Disney's most outrageous villain, and 101 of the most adorable heroes to set their paws onstage. Robert and Anita live happily in London with Dalmatian parents Pongo and Perdita, stalwart dogs devoted to raising their puppies. Everything is quiet until the monstrous Cruella De Vil plots to steal the puppies for her new fur coat! Join all the dogs of London as they daringly rescue the puppies from Cruella and her bumbling henchmen.

There's going to be a picnic and everyone is pitchin' in...the Lady Bugs are in charge of proper etiquette, the Army Ants will handle security, the Fireflies are in charge of lighting, and entertainment will be provided by the Bumble Bees. Looks like everything is set! But what's this!?!The Stinkbug wants to come too! Buzz on over to the country-style hoedown and help the critters rescue the party!

A wop-bop-a-loo-bop-a-wop-bam-boom! Celebrate how it all began with some of the biggest rock and roll stars to ever assemble in your classroom. From Elvis "the King," Little Richard and James Brown to The Beach Boys, The Beatles and many more, we guarantee you'll want to swoon and croon right along because rock and roll is here to stay! This unique musical revue is packed with rock and roll history and fun facts. What are we waiting for? Let’s get on with the "shoo!"

The jungle is jumpin' with jazz in Disney's The Jungle Book KIDS. Specially adapted from the classic film, this musical includes all your favorite Disney tunes, like "The Bare Necessities," and "I Wan'na Be Like You." On the run from Shere Khan, a ferocious tiger who has banished him from the jungle, a human boy named Mowgli is aided by an agile panther named Bagheera. Along the way, the two meet a sinister snake named Kaa, a herd of elephants, and a giant bear named Baloo, who teaches them the swingin' musical rhythms of the jungle. After surviving a dangerous encounter with a band of monkeys led by King Louie, Mowgli and Bagheera are forced to run for their lives. Shere Khan returns, leading our protagonists to rally their follow jungle creatures into battle and restore peace to the jungle.

Welcome to the Hundred Acre Wood, where Winnie the Pooh is once again in search of honey. Along the way, he meets his pals Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit, and Owl but soon discovers that Christopher Robin has been captured by the mysterious Backson! As they prepare for a rescue operation, the animals learn about teamwork, friendship, and sharing snacks. Disney's Winnie The Pooh KIDS is a delightful new show based on the beloved characters of A.A. Milne and the 2011 Disney animated feature film.

But wait..the Ringmaster has come down with a case of laryngitis and they need to find a substitute, fast! Join the clowns, jugglers, dancing bears, lions and a host of other hilarious performers as they help one very sad clown smile again.

*Each session ends with a Final Showcase performance. Act I is a sample of the camp workshops and Act 2 is a musical production. All Showcases are free to attend. Musicals are online, but are subject to change. Two-week session has a day-time performance and an evening performance.

Our camps focus on a processed based education in the performing arts. With this philosophy, we limit camp size to minimum of 10 campers, maximum of 25 campers.
