Uptown Holiday Swing
Will Durst—The Big Fat Year End Kiss Off Comedy Show XXVI
The show is comprised of stand up comedy, improvisation and loosely written sketches based on the major news stories of 2018, and there’s a cornucopia of delights to choose from.
The cast promises to mock and scoff and taunt with taste and make audiences laugh out loud on purpose.
Nineteen Jazz Ensemble
Nineteen is pleased to announce that Tom Kennedy (tomkennedymusic.com) will be our very special guest for our February 9th concert. As you can see by visiting his web page Tom is one of the most in-demand bassists in the country today. This concert will include a master class – date and Time TBA.
Youth Performing Arts Programs
Tabard’s Summer Camps are fun adventures in musical theatre for youth of all skill levels! Each summer, we conduct two 1-week sessions and one 2-week session. Session I is for children ages 6 to 10, Session II is for children 7 to 12 and session III (two week) is for children/youth ages 8 to 14. Camps run Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Tabard Theatre.
The 1874 Fund
It’s expensive to care for a theatre in a building that is over 150 years old! Through a Capitalization and Sustainability Grant from the City of San Jose, Tabard has been awarded a $10,000 challenge grant to establish a $20,000 reserve fund for the care of our charming, historic theatre. This fund, called the “1874 Fund” (named to commemorate the year Farmers Union opened in this building) will help pay for upgrades, repairs and maintenance of Tabard Theatre. With the city challenge grant, every dollar you give right now becomes two! Please support our efforts to preserve Tabard Theatre, a true downtown San Jose gem and “The Destination for Arts Discovery.”
